Why Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ)?

Individual's primary goal in joining Martial Arts often vary. Some join Martial Arts looking to get in shape or for its stress-relief effects. Others wish to improve their discipline and confidence. But most come to Ascend for Jiu-Jitsu due its efficiency in real-world  self-defense situations. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gives anyone the ability to overcome any attacker regardless of size and strength.


What is Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu?

Class Format

Classes are taught in group settings that may range from 6 to 20 students per class, depending on the program. Most classes are an hour long with a 50/50 split between conditioning/drilling and technique. With consistency, 100% of the students achieve excellent fitness goals in just a few months. This is a co-ed program for anyone 15 and over, with or without previous athletics experience.
